Tenure-Track Position in<\/strong> Indigenous Studies<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Department of Geography,<\/strong> National Taiwan Normal University<\/strong>
Position Available: 1 August, 2025 or 1 February, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Department of Geography at National Taiwan Normal University invites applications for a tenure-track position at all professorial levels in Indigenous Studies. We are seeking a dynamic, innovative scholar who will contribute to the department\u2019s mission of excellence in research, teaching, and service, with a particular focus on areas such as Indigenous knowledge and culture<\/strong>, Indigenous education<\/strong>, and Indigenous teacher training<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Responsibilities<\/strong>: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Assist the \u2018Indigenous Research and Development Center\u2019 and the \u2018College of Teacher Education\u2019 in offering Indigenous Education and Culture courses.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Promote indigenous education initiatives across the university. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Implement indigenous education-related projects of the university. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Support the operation of the university\u2019s \u2018Indigenous Research and Development Center\u2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Provide guidance and mentorship for indigenous teacher trainees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Plan and execute the university\u2019s \u2018Secondary Indigenous Teacher Training Programs\u2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Ph.D. in Geography, Indigenous Studies, or a related field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Experience and ability to teach courses in Indigenous Education and Culture courses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Practical experience in \u2018Indigenous education and administration\u2019 and \u2018Indigenous teacher training\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interested applicants should submit the following materials by 21 April, 2025 (Monday)<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. A copy of PhD certificate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. A copy of identity card or passport.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. A current curriculum vitae (CV) (including a list of published works).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. PhD thesis and copies of selected publications in the last five years.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Syllabi for potential courses to be taught (3 courses, each within 500 words in either Chinese or English) and,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. 2-3 reference letters.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
