University Regulations for Credit Overload and Underload<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>According to Article 13 of the University Academic Regulations:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maximum: 27 credits; Minimum: 16 credits (Minimum 9 credits for graduating seniors; at least 1 course for extended-study students). Exceptions are subject to the approval of the Department Chair.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2. Application Period<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Please submit a hard-copy application before <strong>Wednesday, September 23, 2026<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>3. Application Process<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Hard-copy application:<\/strong> Print your Course Selection List (\u9078\u8ab2\u6e05\u55ae), sign it, and provide your contact phone number. State the reason for your credit overload or underload in the blank space at the bottom of the list, then submit it to the Department Office.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Path to download Course Selection List:<\/em> Academic Information System (Student Version) \u2192 Course Selection \u2192 My Selection \u2192 Course Selection List.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>4. Procedures and Important Reminders<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Applications approved by the Department Chair will be compiled by the Department Office and submitted to the Curriculum Section.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For applications not approved by the Department Chair, the department will assist the student in adding or dropping courses:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Course Add:<\/strong> Write the course details\u2014&#8221;Serial Number, Course Code, Course Title, Number of Credits&#8221;\u2014in the blank space on the Course Selection List.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Course Drop:<\/strong> Mark\/cross out the corresponding course directly on the list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Note: Both adding and dropping courses require signatures from the student and the instructor, as well as professional guidance notes added by the department (reasons, recommendations, suggested course directions, etc.).<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>If the added courses include General Education subjects such as Chinese Thinking and Expression or English (I)\/(II), approval from the Commission of General Education is also required.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For students whose applications are not approved and who fail to add or drop courses accordingly:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Underload:<\/strong> The student will be required to suspend their studies in accordance with Academic Regulations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Overload:<\/strong> Courses recommended for drop by the department will be deleted by the Office of Academic Affairs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If a student needs to take zero courses (0 credits), please state the reason in the blank space of the Course Selection List and obtain the seal\/signature of the Department Chair.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Male students must pay special attention to military service regulations (the Ministry of National Defense audits course enrolment to prevent unauthorized deferment of military
