Application Announcement for the 2026 Master’s Thesis Scholarship (Apply by Nov 30)

1. Eligibility: Graduate students currently enrolled in master’s programs at domestic universities and colleges writing their master’s degree thesis.

2. Quota: 24 recipients.

3. Award Details

NT$75,000 per recipient.
The top 6 recipients will also receive an Outstanding Thesis Plaque.
All scholarship recipients may be invited to participate in seminars and activities organized by the foundation.

4. Research Topics

(1) Climate Variation and Sustainability Strategies
1. Research or related topics on the challenges and opportunities of climate variation.
2. Research or related topics on adjusting environmental sustainability strategies under climate variation.
3. Research or related topics on the role of sustainability strategies in resilient cities.
(2) Social Change and Lifestyle Transformation
1. Research or related topics on civil society.
2. Research or related topics on future strategic key industries and workplace labor.
3. Research or related topics on responding to declining birth rates and an aging population.
(3) Spatial Protection and Ecological Health
1. Research or related topics on resilient strategies for adjusting ecological landscapes, cooling, and humidifying urban outdoor environments.
2. Research or related topics on all-age healthy living space standards, construction, simulated diagnosis, and digital development.
3. Research or related topics on emerging infectious disease prevention readiness, smart healthcare, and health care services.
(4) Risk Governance and Resilience Building
1. Research or related topics on resilient governance of national critical infrastructure and urban base plates.
2. Research or related topics on governance of emerging complex risks, organizational safety, and digital resilience.
3. Research or related topics on cross-level risk governance, community collaboration networks, and multi-faceted response plans.
(5) Emerging Technologies and Ethical Governance
1. Research or related topics on artificial intelligence and biotechnology ethics.
2. Research or related topics on information security, quantum computing threats, and prevention.
3. Research or related topics on identifying and preventing misinformation and disinformation.
(6) Interstellar Exploration and Civilization Advancement
1. Research or related topics on civilization backup and long-term survival systems for extreme disasters.
2. Research or related topics on interstellar outpost technology and human adaptation to extreme environments.
3. Research or related topics on interstellar economic governance and AI exploration ethical standards.

5. Application Method

Submit the application form (with a photo attached), master’s thesis research proposal, and one copy of your graduate school transcript by mail or email to the foundation.

6. Application Period

From now until November 30, 2026 (postmark serves as proof for mailed applications).

7. Disbursement of Award

Applicants whose research proposals pass the foundation’s review will receive the first-stage grant of NT$25,000.
Upon completion, after the full thesis is reviewed and approved by the foundation, the remaining balance of NT$50,000 will be awarded during a foundation event.

Note: Research outcomes must be submitted by August 31, 2027 (postmark serves as proof). Overdue submissions or incorrect documents that are not corrected before the deadline after notification will be reviewed alongside the following year’s theses and will be ineligible for the Outstanding Thesis selection.

8. Others:

Approved applicants will be notified individually. The foundation reserves the right to final review decisions; requests for re-examination of review results will not be accepted.
If the research outcome violates academic ethics or infringes upon intellectual property rights, the applicant bears full responsibility. The foundation will revoke application/award eligibility and reserves the right to recover the awarded scholarship.
