NOTE: Information for English-taught Courses in Geography Department

1. The Department of Geography has courses taught in English to fulfil the graduation requirements for both the Master's and Doctoral degrees. For the international students who wish to attend the courses taught in Chinese, or for the domestic students who wish to take the courses in English, please consult with the course instructor(s), so that teaching plan could be adjusted accordingly. In order to meet the needs of domestic students, many master's and doctoral courses are taught in Chinese language. For the courses taught in Chinese, the international students are encouraged to discuss with the instructors in the previous semester so that teaching plan could be adjusted when possible.

2. The following is a list of information for graduation requirement. Please see attached appendix #1~3.

3. Please note that there are courses offered at the college and university levels that may be taken and counted for graduation requirement.


REMINDER:

There is a limit of 1/3 of total minimum required graduation credits that can be taken from courses offered by other departments and programs. That is, students who take courses from other departments or programs should take care not to exceed 1/3 of total minimum required credits. Otherwise the extra credits may not be counted as graduation requirement.
