[Master’s Presentation] Application for Master’s Presentation for 115-1 Semester (October 5 to October 20, 2026) – Please activate your G-Suite account prior to registration

Dear Graduate Students,

The Master’s Presentations for this semester will take place from November 18 to November 20, 2026. To facilitate scheduling and document printing (such as posters), please strictly adhere to the following timeline:

1. Register Presentation Information [By October 20, 2026 (inclusive)]

  • Register contact details, advisor, discussant/reviewer, presentation order (1st/2nd presentation), and thesis title.
  • If your thesis title changes after registration, please register again. The latest entry will prevail.

2. Select Presentation Time Slot [From 9:00 AM, October 5 to October 20, 2026 (inclusive)]

  • Please discuss your preferred time slot with your advisor beforehand. No changes will be accepted after October 20!
  • Select Presentation Time Slot

3. Submit Hard Copy of Application Form [By October 20, 2026 (inclusive)]

  • Submit a hard copy of the Thesis Presentation Application Form (must specify discussants and include advisor’s signature). Drop it into the Master’s Application Drop Box outside the Department Office or submit it to the first-year class representative.

4. Upload Abstract Electronic File [By October 25, 2026 (inclusive)]

5. Complete Presenter Preparation Checklist [By October 20, 2026 (inclusive)]

6. Printed Handouts Requirement

  • Presenters must print hard copies of their abstracts on their own (at least 20 copies) for faculty and students present.
  • Deliver copies to the student staff at the designated times:
    • Morning Sessions (08:40 – 12:10): Hand in by 08:30 (estimated).
    • Afternoon Sessions (13:00 – 17:10): Hand in by 12:50 (estimated).
  • Please collect remaining copies after your presentation.

Parking Fee: Parking fees for discussants/reviewers must be covered by the presenting student.

Reviewer Requirements: Master’s degree presentation (first or second attempt) must be applied for by the advisor on behalf of the student, with one to two discussants invited from relevant professional fields. The invited discussants should be scholars or experts from within or outside the university who hold a doctoral degree or equivalent qualifications (e.g., Assistant Professor or Assistant Research Fellow and above). Both the advisor and discussant(s) must attend the presentation in person; remote video presentations are not permitted unless prior justification is submitted to and approved by the department chair. The presentation is considered passed only upon the review and approval of both the advisor and discussant(s).

Virtual Presentation Requests: If virtual presentation is required due to special circumstances, email Assistant Tech Specialist Mei-Hsuan Li by October 20, 2026 with reasons for committee review. Late requests will not be accepted.

Evaluation Forms: Prepare 2 hard copies of the Master’s Thesis Presentation Evaluation Form on the presentation day.

In-Service Master’s Program: In-service students follow separate presentation arrangements but still need to complete steps 1 (Registration) and 4 (Abstract Upload) by the deadline.
