Position Available: 1 February, 2026

            The Department of Geography at the National Taiwan Normal University invites applications for two tenure track positions at all levels of professorship. We seek outstanding candidates who can contribute to the Department’s teachings and research in the following fields. Candidates who are capable of teaching courses in more than one field and can teach EMI courses will be given priority.

1. Physical geography: geomorphology, geology, climatology, natural disasters, environmental management and other related majors.

2. Geospatial information science: geographical information system, remote sensing, multi-source images integration and analysis, geospatial information integration, geospatial big data analysis, digital terrain analysis, geographical programming, machine learning, and GeoAI or other relevant domain.

3. Human geography: economic geography, urban geography, social geography, tourism geography and other related majors.

4. Regional research: regional geography, landscape geography, land development or environmental planning and design and other related majors.

            The appointment will be effective February 1, 2026. The deadline for application is Thursday, June 5, 2025. Each application should include a copy of their PhD certificate, a copy of their identity card or passport, curriculum vitae (including a list of published works), copies of works published in the last five years, syllabi for potential courses to be taught (3 courses, each within 500 words in either Chinese or English) and 2-3 reference letters.
